• Registration of patents

In order to file a patent application in Iran, the required documents are:

• Certified and legalized (By the Iranian consulate) power of attorney.

• Certified copy of priority document or certified copy of granted patent abroad. (Incase of patent of Convention, patent of Importation or patent of Completion)

•  Three sets of description, claims and drawings.

• Certified & legalized copy of assignment form.  If the priority document or granted patent is in the name of applicant there is no need for assignment form.  An assignment form is only necessary if the mentioned document is in the name of inventor and the applicant is different from the inventor.
