of trademark
According to patent & trademark law of Iran, trademark is any
type of marking composed of drawing, picture, number, wording,
seal, phrase, special wrapping which is chosen to distinguish or
specify a particular industrial or agricultural product. A
trademark maybe chosen to distinguish or specify the product of a
group of farmers, industrialist, commercial companies, a city or
town, a region of the country.
A. For how long a trademark is valid?
A trademark is valid for a period of 10 (ten)
years from application date and renewable
every 10 (ten) years on the anniversary of the
original application date.

A trademark application will go through formal examination for any

resemblance.
Resemblance of a trademark shall apply to appearance,
pronunciation,
form
of writing or any other similarity.
