Description of patent under Iranian law

According to patent & trademark law of Iran, patent is any new invention or discovery in various fields of industry or agriculture that will give exclusive right to the inventor or discoverer under which he may benefit from his patent.  Patent must be registered in Iran in order down to receive protection and benefit.

Any person or organization who make the following claims, may apply for a patent:

  A. New innovation in a new industrial product.

  B. Discovery of a new means or the discovery of a new method using existing ones to obtain a different result or product in industry & agriculture.

The first person who applies for the registration of an invention in accordance with the law shall be considered the inventor of the patent, unless proven otherwise.
