In order to file a patent application in Iran, the required documents & information are:

A.

Certified and legalized by the Iranian Consulate power of attorney.

B. Certified and legalized by the Iranian consulate assignment document from inventor/s to the applicant. This document is only required if the name of applicant is not mentioned as applicant on priority document.

Certified copy of priority document.
D.

3 sets of description, claim & drawing in English.
E.

Patent classification.
F.

Name of the applicant.
G.

Address.
H.

Type of company. (Ltd, Joint Stock, etc…)
I.

 Type of business.
J.

 Company registration number.
K.

 Nationality.
L.

Telephone, fax & email.
M.

 Name of inventor/s, nationality & address.
N.

 Occupation of inventor.
O.

Type of business if inventor is self-employed.
Incomplete application is possible, applicant has 60 day from notification date by the PTO to provide the missing documents. Additional 60 day maybe granted by the PTO, failure to comply will result in cancellation of IP application.
